"August 18th, World Digital-Friendliness Day" Launches Digital-Friendliness Global Dialogue

日前，记者从中国世界贸易组织研究会数字经济和数字贸易专业委员会获悉，由中国世界贸易组织研究会数字经济和数字贸易专业委员会发起的“8.18世界数字友好日”正式启动“数字友好全球对话”活动。

Recently, the reporter learned from the Committee of Digital Economy and Digital Trade of the China Society for WTO Studies that "August 18th, World Digital-Friendliness Day" initiated by the Committee, officially launches the "Digital-Friendliness Global Dialogue" activity.

“数字友好”价值理念是由中国世界贸易组织研究会数字经济和数字贸易专业委员会杨勇主任全球首倡，并在北京召开的首届世界数字友好大会上正式发布。首届世界数字友好大会是在中国世界贸易组织研究会的指导和支持下，以中国经济信息社新华信用为首席战略合作平台，联合APEC跨境电子商务创新发展研究中心等多家单位共同主办。在2020年8月18日的首届世界数字友好大会上，中国世界贸易组织研究会数字经济和数字贸易专业委员会杨勇主任和刘泽枫秘书长面向30多个国家和地区的参会嘉宾中英双语发布了《世界数字友好宣言》和数字友好公理系统，给出了“数字友好”中国定义：数字友好是一种人与数字化和谐共生的社会形态和数字文明趋势，其核心内涵是以人为本的人类生产生活和以数据驱动的数字生态系统协调可持续发展，并遵循科学实证不断进化改善，最终实现人类自由全面发展的社会状态。

The value concept of "Digital-Friendliness" was initiated by Director Yang Yong of Committee of Digital Economy and Digital Trade of China Society for WTO Studies, and officially released at the 1st World Digital-Friendliness Conference held in Beijing. Under the guidance and support of China Society for WTO Studies, the 1st World Digital-Friendliness Conference was co-sponsored by Xinhua Credit of China Economic Information Service as the Chief Strategic Cooperation Platform and APEC Cross Border E-commerce Research Center for Innovation and Development. At the 1st World Digital-Friendliness Conference on August 18th, 2020, Director Yang Yong and Secretary General Liu Zefeng of the Committee of Digital Economy and Digital Trade of CWTO issued the World Digital-Friendliness Declaration and the Axiom System of Digital-Friendliness to the participants from more than 30 countries and regions in both Chinese and English, giving the definition of "Digital-Friendliness" in China: Digital-Friendliness is a social form and a trend of digital civilization in which people and digitalization coexist harmoniously. Its core connotation is the coordinated and sustainable development of people-centric human production and life and data-driven digital ecosystem, and it follows the scientific empiricism to continuously evolve and improve, and finally realizes the social state of free and all-round development of mankind.

为了更好地在全球形成关注数字友好的信用流量，丰富数字友好公理系统的科学内涵，中国世界贸易组织研究会数字经济和数字贸易专业委员会倡议将《世界数字友好宣言》发布日即8月18日定为“世界数字友好日”，并于2021年4月2日在北京成功召开的第二届世界数贸大会启动仪式上，经过50余国近500余名政商代表热烈研讨形成进一步共识。同时倡议进一步建立“数字友好全球对话”机制，为共建“数字友好人类命运共同体”探索新路径和发现新方法。

In order to better form a global credit flow focusing on Digital-Friendliness and enrich the scientific connotation of the Axiom System of Digital-Friendliness, the Committee proposed that August 18th, the release date of the World Digital-Friendliness Declaration, be designated as "World Digital-Friendliness Day". At the Launching Ceremony of the 2nd World Digital Economy and Digital Trade Conference successfully held in Beijing on April 2nd, 2021, nearly 500 political and business representatives from more than 50 countries enthusiastically discussed and reached a further consensus. At the same time, it is proposed to further establish a "Digital-Friendliness Global Dialogue" mechanism to explore new paths and discover new methods for building a "Community of Digital-Friendliness of Shared Future for Mankind".

世界数字友好日反映了世界各国人民对数字文明时代共识的认识和态度，表达了人类社会对数字世界美好、自由而全面发展的向往和追求，也是国际社会提高数字问题关注度、弥合数字鸿沟、消除数字贫困、解决数字垄断和建立数字文明共识并采取积极行动的重要契机，发起“世界数字友好日”，将更加快速地吸引公共部门、私营部门和社区参与数字友好公理系统和共识的建设。

World Digital-Friendliness Day reflects the understanding and attitude of people all over the world towards the consensus in the digital civilization era, expresses the yearning and pursuit of human society for the beautiful, free and all-round development of the digital world, and is also an important opportunity for the international community to pay more attention to digital issues, bridge the digital divide, eliminate digital poverty, solve digital monopoly, build a consensus on digital civilization and take positive actions. Launching World Digital-Friendliness Day will attract public sector, private sector, and community to participate in the construction of Axiom System of Digital-Friendliness and consensus more quickly.

开展数字友好全球对话，将吸纳最广泛的数字经济和数字贸易理论、观点和实践，本着从无到有、由点及面，建设共商、共建、共创、共享的数字全球合作新局面，并在国际上建立起数字好友共识的最大公约数，形成有共识、有差异、分阶段的数字友好发展指引、预测、教育和评价策略。数字友好全球对话将由CWTO数贸会数字友好传播大使、中国知名政要访谈节目《做客大使馆》电视节目主持人刘美希担任主持。

Carrying out the Digital-Friendliness Global Dialogue will absorb the most extensive theories, viewpoints and practices of digital economy and digital trade, build a new situation of digital global cooperation, co-construction, co-creation, and sharing from the scratch and by the point and the surface, and will establish the greatest common denominator of Digital-Friendliness Consensus internationally, and form a development strategy of  Digital-Friendliness for guidance, forecast, education and evaluation with consensus, differences and stages. The Digital-Friendliness Global Dialogue will be hosted by Miss Liu Meixi, Ambassador of Digital-Friendliness Promotion of the Committee of Digital Economy and Digital Trade of CWTO and Host of the TV program "Visiting the Embassy", a well-known Chinese politician talk show.

世界数字友好日将充分挖掘和传播世界各国积极发展数字经济、致力弥合数字鸿沟和消除数字贫困的美好故事和经典案例，中国世界贸易组织研究会数字经济和数字贸易专业委员会将在此基础上积极推动“世界数字友好城市”和“世界数字友好园区”的全球缔结和创建工作，充分发挥外事、企业和社区力量，通过城市、自贸区、园区、社区的数字友好交流合作，促进智库、资本、产业、青年领导力、环境等事务的改善，实现“国之交在于民相亲”。

World Digital-Friendliness Day will fully explore and disseminate the beautiful stories and classic cases of countries around the world actively developing the digital economy, bridging the digital divide, and eliminating digital poverty. On this basis, the Committee of Digital Economy and Digital Trade of CWTO will actively promote the global conclusion and creation of "World Digital-Friendliness Cities" and "World Digital-Friendliness Parks", give full play to foreign affairs, enterprises, and communities, and promote the improvement of think tank, capital, industry, youth leadership, environment and other issues through exchanges and cooperation of Digital-Friendliness among cities, free trade zones, industrial parks and communities, so as to realize the "The communication between countries depends on civilians be kind to each other and love each other."
