余成云，男，1947年2月出生于杭州市西天目山。从小学就喜欢美术，对画画有浓厚的兴趣。从读书到部队，从部队到地方，几十年如一日，从未放下手中之画笔。他一生勤奋好学，崇自然之山水，采草木之灵秀，得日月之精华，矢志钻研，不断进取。深造于南京美术学院，无锡工艺美术学院，最终完成南京东南大学学业。七十年代初，在南京军区被选拔到《人民前线报》担任美术记者，发表过多幅展于部队生活的美术作品，受到部队的嘉奖，还参加了全国第四届美展并获奖。八九十年代后，在全国的“兰亭杯”“光辉旗帜”“不朽丰碑”等大赛中获得金奖，另有不少书法，美术作品被多家博物馆收藏，并在书法美术报，杂志发表。

After the 1980s and 1990s, he won the gold medal in the national competitions such as "Lanting Cup", "brilliant flag" and "immortal monument". In addition, many calligraphy and art works were collected by many museums and published in calligraphy art newspapers and magazines.

古人云：“痴书者，文必工，痴艺者，技必良”。余成云静心习艺，走进大自然，在大自然中吸取营养，获取灵感，他要求自己的每幅作品都有独特的艺术创意、独特的生命追求、独特的精神风骨、给人以美的享受。在他的不懈努力下书法、美术各有造诣，齐头并进。在美术上山水、花鸟、人物、写意、工笔、剪纸、术刻、瓷盘画各领风骚。在书法上能写六种字体。余成云不断探索创新，尤其以雪景为题材的绘画众多，笔力挺劲，构图精巧，水墨留白之间气韵简淡，意境悠远，或自出机杼，独具风神。似有“人在画中行，画在景中游”。在平面中求立体，在普通中求非凡自成一派，被书画大家誉为“江南雪王”。

余成云被中华人民共和国文化部授予“美术大师”“中国国礼特供艺术家”称号，还被中国书法家协会评为“高级教师”，中国硬笔书法协会授予其“终身理事”，浙江农林大学娉为“中国书法荣誉导师”。

古人论画：“画如其人，文如其人，自古皆然。”余成云先生是位性情中人，豪爽仗义，有士人之气；于人于事，胸怀坦荡，有助于之乐；于书于画，执著真诚，有儒雅之风。他的画风正和他的品格一样，潇洒中不失淳厚，朴拙中又寓性灵。欣赏其花、其鸟、其山水，可以感悟到画家的状态，其笔势的婉媚与泼辣、飞舞与凝重，其布势的开张与内敛、疏密和跌宕，在大笔挥洒的舒卷自如之中，给人以痛快淋漓之感，显示出一吐为快的畅达。他的作品中流露出的笔情墨趣、遥接明代徐渭的气势通贯的风神，近承苦禅随缘成迹的意绪，内含缶翁以篆籀入画的苍辣浑厚，多种美学品格的融入使他的作品展示出承前启后的意义。这一切都源于他重造化的启迪，又重心源的感悟，以至于他在接受传统的同时，总是以当代人的目光与心态冷静地审视，深刻地辨析，把传统中最优秀的精华汇聚自己的艺术体系，化作自己的创作元素，追求一种“法为我用”的随心所欲的境界。
