张泗端,号端石,中共党员,1953年生。当过知青、工人,戎马半生。毕业于解放军政治学院,首都师范大学书法文化研究生班。现为国家民族画院、中国书画院院聘书法家。经故宫博物院书画鉴定专家鉴定的我国当代最具收藏价值艺术家。

Zhang Siduan, Xiao Duanshi, a member of the Communist Party of China, was born in 1953. He worked as an educated youth and worker for half his life. Graduated from the Political College of PLA, Graduate Course of Calligraphy Culture of Capital Normal University. Now he is a calligrapher employed by the National Academy of National Painting and the Chinese Academy of Calligraphy and Painting. The most valuable artist in contemporary China has been appraised by experts of calligraphy and painting appraisal of the Palace Museum.

2009年上海世博会期间,时年90高龄的中国美术家协会前顾问王琦先生撰文,称书法已达“性道一体,道法自然”之境界。2013年,中国人民对外友好协会成立六十周年之际,欧阳中石、沈鵬、冯远、言恭达诸先生对其楷书、行书、草书、榜书作出“给人以全新的审美愉悦”的高度评价。

重传统随时代求自我

书法创新简述:张泗端

书法创新是一篇很大的文章。以一篇短文来阐述,只能提纲挈领。我个人的体会是,要重传统。这是创新之基。中国的书法是古老的,有三千多年的历史;中国的书法是特有的,世界上其他民族没有这门艺术。这就使中国的书法有一个质的规定性:用特有的工具纸墨笔砚,写中国的汉字。当然,这里所说的汉字可以是真草隶篆任何一种书体。

以汉字为书写对象的书法,有笔法,字法,章法,墨法这样至少四个方面的规则。四个方面的规则以外,尚有印法(怎么钦印),裱法(怎样装裱)等法可依。对这些规则的不同把握,形成不同风格、不同品位、不同审美价值取向的书法作品。狭义地说,重传统,就是要重视这些最基本的在书法技法表现方面、在形式展示方面的传统。

在优秀的书家看来,在他要创作的每幅作品中,几乎每个汉字都有一个从艺术角度来讲的、最佳的表现姿态,这个字,在他心中,当他书写的时候,一笔下去就能准确地表现出来,这就是工夫,这就是传统功力。达到和养成这种功力,需要训练,其中最根本,最重要的继承方式是临帖。就技术层面来说,书法家水平的不同,往往就是这样的功夫的深浅的不同。

书法是中国传统文化的重要载体,书法作为文化,它还有广义的传统,或者说,书法作为文化、作为民族精神展示和表达的一种特殊的艺术表现形式,它还包涵着做人的传统。历史上,仅就写字的能力来说,有些人的字有一定艺术表现力,但是,因为人格分裂,道义缺失,我们并不看好他甚至蔑视、鄙视他。所以,做一个书法家,首先是做一个好人。北宋权相蔡京,凶狠奸诈,擅权误国,民间有"打了桶,泼了菜,便是人间好世界"的歌谣,而以祭侄稿传世,又义殉蔡州的颜真卿却留下了"丹心昭日月,浩气存千秋"的美名。

要随时代。这是创新之的。唐代书法家、书法理论家孙过庭的《书谱》有一段话:"质以代兴,妍因俗易,驰鹜沿革,物理常然。"简而言之,就是笔墨当随时代。我们处在实现伟大民族复兴的中国梦这样一个重要历史时期,讲创新,就是要在继承书法传统的基础上,在艺术上有新意,内容上日日新。围绕实现中国梦的所思、所想,所感、所悟来创新。近几年,我创作的一些书法作品,如榜书"实干兴邦"、草书"岳阳楼记名句"、行楷对联"壮志凌云中国梦,宵衣旰食公仆心","无畏官清缘禄减,不难民静爱山高"、"充海阔天高之量,养先忧后乐之心"等作品,都是创作反映时代需要的作品的尝试。

要求自我。这是创新之魂。我的老师欧阳中石先生对一幅合格的书法作品的基本要求是"来有所出,去见其才"。这里的"来有所出,是传统,"去见其才",就是书法家个人的风格。可以说,没有风格,便没有艺术,没有个性,也没有艺术。基于这样的认识,多年来,我通过临帖,创作,否定,再临帖,再创作,再否定,这样一个循环往复的过程,使书法作品有了些个人面貌。受到社会的关注和专家的好评。上海世博会期间,时年90高龄的中国美术家协会顾问王琦老前辈,对我的书法作品给予了"以达性道一体,道法自然"的评价。去年末,欧阳中石、沈鹏、冯远、言恭达诸先生又对我的书法作品进行了集体评议,对我的书法作品在继承、创新上给予了充分肯定,艺术前辈的鼓励,增强了我进行书法创新探索的信心。我也将以毕生精力,与时俱进,对历史负责,以自己的书法作品为社会服务,为人民服务。

A Brief Description of Calligraphy Innovation: Zhang Siduan

Calligraphy innovation is a great article. To elaborate in a short article can only be outlined. My personal experience is to emphasize tradition. This is the foundation of innovation. Chinese calligraphy is ancient and has a history of more than 3,000 years; Chinese calligraphy is unique, and other nations in the world do not have this art. This makes Chinese calligraphy have a qualitative stipulation: writing Chinese characters with special tool paper, ink and inkstone. Of course, the Chinese characters mentioned here can be any style of Zhencao Lizhuan.

Calligraphy with Chinese characters as its object of writing has at least four rules: pen, character, constitution and ink. In addition to the four rules, there are still some laws to follow, such as how to seal, how to mount and so on. Different understanding of these rules will lead to different styles, tastes and aesthetic values of calligraphy works. In a narrow sense, to emphasize tradition is to attach importance to these most basic traditions in the expression of calligraphy techniques and in the form of presentation.

In the view of an excellent calligrapher, almost every Chinese character in every work he wants to create has an artistic and best performance posture. In his mind, when he writes, it can be accurately expressed with one stroke. This is time, which is traditional skill. Achieving and developing this skill requires training, among which the most fundamental and most important way of inheritance is posting. On the technical level, the different level of calligraphers is often the different depth of such kungfu.

Calligraphy is an important carrier of Chinese traditional culture. As a culture, it also has a broad tradition. In other words, as a special artistic expression of culture and national spirit, it also contains the tradition of being a man. Historically, as far as the ability to write is concerned, some people's words have certain artistic expressiveness. However, because of the split personality and the lack of morality, we do not think highly of him or even despise him. Therefore, to be a calligrapher, first of all, to be a good person. Cai Jing, the Prime Minister of power in the Northern Song Dynasty, was fierce and treacherous. He was authorized to mislead the country. There were folk songs of "beating buckets and spilling dishes is a good world on earth", while Yan Zhenqing, who died in honor of his nephew, left a good name of "Danxin Zhao Riyue, Haoqiu Qianqiu".

Keep abreast of the times. This is innovative. There is a passage in Shupu written by Sun Guoting, a calligrapher and calligraphy theorist in the Tang Dynasty: "Quality replaces prosperity, Yan is easy because of vulgarity, evolves rapidly, and physics is common." "In short, it means that pen and ink should keep pace with the times. We are in such an important historical period as realizing the Chinese dream of great national rejuvenation. Innovation is to inherit the tradition of calligraphy and to have new artistic ideas and content with each passing day. Innovation revolves around the thinking, thinking, feeling and understanding of realizing the Chinese dream. In recent years, some of my calligraphic works, such as the list book "Active Xingbang", cursive "Yueyang Tower Ji Ming Sentence", the line couplet "ambition Lingyun Chinese Dream, night clothes and food for public servants", "fearlessness of officials and clean margins, not refugees love mountains quietly", "the vastness of the sea and the sky, raising the first concern and then the heart of joy", are all attempts to create works reflecting the needs of the times.

Ask for self. This is the soul of innovation. My teacher Mr. Ouyang Zhongshi's basic requirement for a qualified calligraphy work is "come and go, meet their talents". Here "come out somewhat, it's the tradition" and "go to see the talent" are the personal style of the calligrapher. It can be said that without style, there would be no art, no personality, and no art. Based on this understanding, over the years, through the process of posting, creating, negating, posting again, creating again, negating again, such a cycle of reciprocating, the calligraphy works have some personal features. It is well received by the society and experts. During the Shanghai World Expo, Wang Qi, an advisor to the 90-year-old Chinese Artists Association, gave me an appraisal of my calligraphy works as "one with nature and one with nature". At the end of last year, Mr. Ouyang Zhongshi, Shen Peng, Feng Yuan and Yan Gongdazhu made a collective comment on my calligraphy works. They fully affirmed the inheritance and innovation of my calligraphy works. The encouragement of the artistic predecessors strengthened my confidence in the exploration of calligraphy innovation. I will also devote all my life to advancing with the times, be responsible for history, serve the society and the people with my own calligraphy works。
